Come one, come all to the 2nd National Adaptation Forum!

Dear Mavens,

I think I’m in over my head. I saw a job announcement for an adaptation specialist in the town where I live. I applied and I got the job. Here’s the rub, I’m an “evolutionary” adaptation specialist (Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology) and I didn’t know there was this other thing. Not entirely sure how I got hired but I am pretty civically engaged. (Maybe it was my “Adapt or Die” t-shirt?) Don’t get me wrong, I’m really excited about my new job, I think it’s a really important topic and I’m reading all I can to get some good stuff going, but I feel like I need more help. Where can I get a crash course?

Sincerely,

Over Head aM eYe

Dear OH MY,

Have we got a plan for you! This May (12-14) is the 2nd National Adaptation Forum in St. Louis, MO! This is your salvation! Over the course of three days you can immerse yourself in the collective knowledge of hundreds of adaptation practitioners, some of them from cities just like yours! Better than a graduate level course in adaptation, the Forum offers symposia, working groups and trainings. Partake in all of it!

Come with questions! Leave with a plan.

If you are thinking about fiscally prudent adaptation, consider registering before the early bird discount deadline on February 28th.  There is also an opportunity to apply for travel support.

We’ll meet you in St. Louis! (We can’t promise your light rail trip from the airport will be so festive…but you can hope!)

We thought we’d offer you a final thought on your transition from evolutionary to climate adaptation:

Sincerely,

The Mavens
