San Lorenzo Valley Water District

Overview

The San Lorenzo Water District was established in 1941 and today has over 7,500 connections serving over 22,500 people an average of 2.0 million gallons of water per day. The District’s active water sources include five stream diversions and seven groundwater wells. During the wet seasons, the District relies on surface water sources; but during the dry seasons, the District shifts its reliance to ground water aquifers. The mission of the San Lorenzo Water District is: to provide customers and all future generations with reliable, safe and high quality water at an equitable price; to create and maintain outstanding customer service; to manage and protect the environmental health of the aquifers and watersheds; and, to ensure the fiscal vitality of the San Lorenzo Valley Water District.
