Climate Smart Agriculture Webinar: Irrigation Water Management and Technologies - a Focus on Specialty Crops (Australia & California)
The California Department of Food and Agriculture, alongside public and private representatives from Australia, will co-host a joint webinar on Climate Smart Agriculture on Monday, June 19, 2017. The webinar will feature discussions and presentations addressing irrigation water management and technologies, with a particular focus on specialty crops.
Australia is one the world’s leaders in irrigation efficiencies and water management innovation. From 1997 to 2009, Australia faced the worst drought in the country’s history. However, through a series of policy innovations, Australia was successful in reducing water use and developing adaptive on-farm solutions for a changing climate.
The webinar will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. (PST).
