Call for concept proposals for AusAID Community-based Climate Change Action Grants program

AusAID Community-based Climate Change Action Grants program - AusAID has recently advertised a call for concept proposals from Australian and International non-government organisations (NGOs) for the Community-based Climate Change Action Grants program. Applications will close on Friday 10 February 2012. The program will support NGOs to undertake community-based climate change adaptation and mitigation activities in developing countries. Up to AUD$30 million is available for NGOs to work in the Pacific and selected countries in South East Asia.The Application Guidelines and further information about the program can be found on the AusAID website at www.ausaid.gov.au/climatechangegrants.

Note eligible countries include

  1. Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
  2. East Timor, Philippines and Vietnam, with a focus on Vietnam. Preference will be given to larger proposals for Vietnam. This does not, however, rule out smaller innovative proposals.
