MIT research project on evaluating the effectiveness of climate change adaptation projects
Graduate students in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT, part of the MIT-Science Impact Collaborative directed by Professor Lawrence Susskind, are designing a strategy for evaluating how well "role play simulations" work to increase public awareness and build support for managing climate change risks. Thei goal is that others will want to use their evaluation metrics and methods once they have been tested. Right now, they are trying to find out whether anyone else has evaluated the effectiveness of particular approaches to encouraging climate change adaptation at the city or metro level.
