Climate Change Scientist

Marni takes a lead role in developing and executing ClimateWise®projects to help local communities prepare for a changing climate. Marni also helped prepare climate-informed conservation blueprints for the Klamath-Siskiyou and the Colorado Plateau ecoregions. Previously, Marni completed postdoctoral research with the Rocky Mountain Research Station investigating the effects of climate change on wildlife and wildlife habitat. Marni has expertise in ecological effects of climate change, ornithology, metapopulation ecology, conservation genetics, and invasive species. Marni holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara, a M.S. in Wildland Resource Science from UC Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Wyoming.
