Organization Overview:
The Casco Bay Estuary Partnership (CBEP) is one of 28 National Estuary Programs under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It is a collaborative effort of local, state, and federal government organizations, non-profits, local businesses, citizens, and universities dedicated to protecting and restoring Casco Bay, Maine. The partnership is focused on protecting and restoring fish and wildlife habitat; decreasing stormwater pollution and improving water quality; reduced toxic pollution; promoting informed and responsible stewardship; reducing marine invasive species in the bay; and increasingly, reducing and adapting to the effects of climate change.
Mission/Vision Statement
The Casco Bay Estuary Partnership is devoted to protecting and restoring the water quality, and fish and wildlife habitat of the Casco Bay ecosystem, while ensuring compatible human uses.
