Organization Overview:
Looking for books, documents, topographic maps, videos, project maps, large screen VCR, and county highway maps?
Need assistance with research?
Need a small, quiet meeting space?
Ever wonder where to find The Annual Report of the Chief of Engineers from 1867 to the present; original source material for the District or historical data from the Rivers and Harbors documents?
Distractions around you (phones, officemates, radios, etc.) make it hard to concentrate on work?
Come to the Library!
The library holds approximately 22,000 volumes; collectively 3500 technical reports from the Waterways Experiment Station, CRREL, CERLCERC, IWR, EPA, etc.; 90+ periodicals; and 224 videos and cassettes.
Engineering Map Files contain civil and military project drawings for the District. There are approximately 25 cabinets of these drawings, some of which are originals and date back to the 1700s.
The library also has topographic maps for Virginia, nautical charts, wetland inventory maps, and county and state highway maps.
The Corps library also provides online services to Corps staff. The services offered include extensive research, fact checking, current awareness, interlibrary loan, training and more.
