Overview

The Cultural Resources Environmental Vulnerability Assessment Toolbox (CREVAT) is a geospatial application that covers the entire NPS Intermountain Region and provides data on multiple environmental exposures. We also provide geospatial layers showing the vulnerability of resource types based on their sensitivity to a given exposure. We designed CREVAT as an entry point for assessing vulnerability and developing climate adaptation strategies.

CREVAT is designed to examine climate change at the regional to park/unit scale. Modeled climate data tends to be coarse (in this case cells are 36 square kilometers) making it difficult to make site specific calculations. CREVAT can still inform you of the general vulnerability of systems within a park/unit and allow you to design mitigation efforts related to the various exposures.
