Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center (NE CASC)

Overview

The Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center is part of a network of nine Climate Adaptation Science Centers managed by the U.S. Geological Survey National Climate Adaptation Science Center. We work with natural and cultural resource managers to gather the scientific information and build the tools needed to help fish, wildlife, and ecosystems adapt to the impacts of climate change.

The NE CASC is hosted by the University of Massachusetts Amherst and includes academic consortium institutions throughout the region. The Academic Consortium works closely with USGS partners to provide deep and diverse resources for successfully meeting the regional needs for climate impact science assessment, education and stakeholder outreach throughout the region.

The revised NE CASC region includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and Kentucky.
