South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative

Overview

The mission of the South Atlantic LCC: Facilitate conservation actions that sustain natural and cultural resources, guided by a shared adaptive blueprint.

The South Atlantic LCC is a partnership of state, federal, private, regional, and non-profit organizations committed to sustaining natural and cultural resources for current and future generations. Part of a seamless network of 22 LCCs across North America, the South Atlantic LCC covers parts of six southeastern states, from southern Virginia to northern Florida, including U.S. waters to 200 miles offshore.

A Steering Committee of diverse partners guides the South Atlantic LCC's strategic direction, empowering us to operate on a scale that no single agency or organization could achieve on its own. Together, we're developing and implementing the Conservation Blueprint--a living spatial plan that identifies opportunities for shared conservation action in the face of sweeping changes like sea-level rise and urbanization.
