Barrett Ristroph


Barrett is a lawyer, planner, and mediator who leads Ristroph Law, Planning, and Research. She has worked with agencies and Alaska Native entities to support climate change adaptation, increased jurisdiction, natural resource protection, and the appropriate use of indigenous knowledge. Her Ph.D. dissertation considered how Alaska Native Villages are adapting to climate change and how laws and planning help or hinder. Originally from Cajun Country, Louisiana, USA, she has gained perspective from living and working in the Northern Mariana Islands, the Philippines, Arctic Alaska and Russia.
