Bob Dobias

I am an American who came to Asia in 1978 with the US Peace Corps and stayed here ever since. My work was largely field-based in protected areas and biodiversity during the first 16 years, largely in Thialand, Nepal and Lao PDR. I joined the Asian Development Bank as an Environment Specialist in 1994 and, until resigning at the end of 2011, held various positions, including the first Head, NGO Center; Director, Agriculture and Natural Resources Sectors; Director, Social Sectors; and Senior Advisor, Climate Change Coordination Program. I'm currently working on a USAID-supported project, "Climate Change Adaptation Project Preparation Facility for Asia" (ADAPT-Asia) in Bangkok, serving as Team Leader for Adaptation Funds and Capacity Building.
