Christopher Hoving

Adaptation Specialist

I am the statewide specialist on climate adaptation for the Wildlife Division of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. I was formerly the Endangered Species Coordinator, and before that a private lands wildlife biologist. My position involves using downscaled models and vulnerability assessments to aid my organization in planning wisely in a changing climate. I am involved with many regional networks, including the Northwoods Collaborative, the Michigan Climate Coalition, the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes Landscape Conservation Cooperative, and the Midwest Association of Fisha nd Wildlife Agencies Climate Change Committee.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural and cultural resources for current and future generations.
