Devon McGhee

Coastal Management Specialist

I'm currently working as a Coastal Management Specialist with Michael Baker International’s Coastal Science and Engineering Practice and a Coastal Communication Specialist with FEMA’s Community Engagement and Risk Communication Program. I use my technical expertise and working knowledge of relevant science, policy, and planning to enable coastal flood resilience through natural hazards and climate change preparedness, mitigation, and adaptation. Prior to joining Michael Baker, I completed my Master’s in Coastal Environmental Management at Duke University where I studied the ability of post-disaster buyout programs to reduce vulnerability to coastal flooding.

Home of the Blue Devils, Duke University has about 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students and a world-class faculty helping to expand the frontiers of knowledge. The university has a strong commitment to applying knowledge in service to society, both near its North Carolina campus and around the world.

Sustainable Duke - Duke University seeks to attain and maintain a place of leadership in all that we do. This includes leadership in environmental stewardship and sustainability on campus, in our medical institutions, and in the larger community of which we are a part.
