Julia Elkin
Advance Planner
As an Advance Planner with Marin County Community Development Agency, Julia manages coastal climate change adaptation planning projects. Previously, Julia was a grant manager with the California State Coastal Conservancy for six years, managing funding programs supporting coastal adaptation and habitat restoration, with a focus on nature-based strategies. Prior to working in California, Julia designed and ran coastal ecology education programs for the Smithsonian Institution Ecological Research Center and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. She has a MS in Conservation Ecology and Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment.
