Climate Change Ecologist

As an ecohydrologist, I examine how water moves through the ecosystem, and particularly how fluxes of carbon, water, and energy respond to changing precipitation patterns. My work with the Field Museum involves developing climate change adaptation plans. The Indiana Dunes Climate Change Adaptation Plan was completed in May 2018, and I am currently leading the Chicago Wilderness Prairies Adaptation Planning project, which is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2019.

The Field Museum is an educational institution concerned with the diversity and relationships in nature and among cultures. It provides collection-based research and learning for greater public understanding and appreciation of the world in which we live. Its collections, public learning programs, and research are inseparably linked to serve a diverse public of varied ages, backgrounds and knowledge.
