Master's student at Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies
As the former Communications Coordinator for Pacific RISA, I coordinated Pacific RISA's communications strategy and assist with publications, outreach, and events, as well as legal and policy analysis. Before Pacific RISA, I spent over two years as Program Associate at the University of Hawaii Center for Island Climate Adaptation and Policy helping local, state, and federal entities develop adaptive policies and programs. My undergraduate experience includes leading a research team at Oberlin College's innovative LEED-certified green building, the Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies, and helping to launch a low-carbon student housing initiative. In addition, I completed internships at Skidaway Institute of Oceanography in Savannah, Georgia and at Heifer International's Northeast U.S. headquarters. As an AmeriCorps volunteer, I taught ecology and environmental science in Boston Public Schools for one year after graduating. In Hawaii, I enjoy hiking, learning about Hawaii's incredibly diverse native plants and ecosystems, and pulling weeds on a windward Oahu taro farm.
