Adapting to the Climate Crisis
San Diego, CA
Climate Action Campaign, in partnership with Mid-City CAN, is thrilled to present the inaugural San Diego Green New Deal Speaker Series.
Join us for monthly events featuring climate experts and community leaders as we explore what it will take to achieve a just transition to net-zero emissions across our region by 2045.
On September 19, we welcome our third speaker, City of Imperial Beach Mayor Serge Dedina for his talk: Adapting to the Climate Crisis.
Mayor Dedina is the co-founder and Executive Director of WILDCOAST. He received the Surf Industry's Environmental Award, San Diego Zoological Society’s Conservation Medal as well as the California Coastal Commission’s “Coastal Hero” Award in recognition of his conservation achievements. He was named a UCSD John Muir Fellow in 2013 and was honored as a 2016 Peter Benchley “Hero of the Sea.”
