Climate Change and Community Resilience in Colorado
Join us for the soft launch of the Alliance Center's new info tool on Climate+Security and a discussion on climate, disasters, and community resilience.
Colorado communities face growing threats from drought, wildfires, floods, and other climate-related risks. Vulnerable members of our communities are especially exposed to these challenges. Climate resilience is the ability to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to hazardous events, trends, or disturbances related to climate. Improving climate resilience involves assessing how climate change will create new, or alter current, climate-related risks, and taking steps to better cope with these risks.
What: We will have a panel of renowned local experts and lively discussion on the ways that climate change and climate related disasters impact communities in Colorado. Additional details will be forthcoming.
