Description:

11:00 AM – 3:00 PM PDT

Riverside, CA

What will it take for the Inland Southern California region to accelerate efforts to build resilience to climate change impacts?

Join leaders from across the region to discuss emerging opportunities at Exploring Climate Solutions, Together: A Meeting of Inland Southern California’s Climate Leaders & Practitioners, taking place August 6th from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM in Downtown Riverside. An optional coffee networking break will precede the event at 10:30 AM, and lunch will be provided.

During this exploratory meeting, participants will learn about key climate risks and adaptation opportunities facing the region and explore the potential benefits of launching a regional collaborative. A key purpose of a regional collaborative collaborative includes creating a forum for leaders and practitioners to collaborate across sectors and share knowledge, leverage resources, and develop the region's capacity to address resiliency challenges.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

We strongly encourage public agency staff (cities, counties, regional agencies, special districts, etc.), elected officials, non-profit organizations, community-based organizations, private consulting firms, advocacy groups, and individuals interested in pursuing climate resiliency in the region to attend. This meeting is open to the public.
