Climate Action Campaign, in partnership with Mid-City CAN, is thrilled to present the inaugural San Diego Green New Deal Speaker Series.

Join us for monthly events featuring climate experts and community leaders as we explore what it will take to achieve a just transition to net-zero emissions across our region by 2045.

On October 15, we welcome our fourth speaker, Encinitas Mayor Catherine Blakespear for her talk: Increasing Suburban Density to Fight Climate Change.

Encinitas Mayor Catherine S. Blakespear was re-elected to her second term as mayor with 83 percent of the vote in November, 2018. Catherine was first elected to serve on the Encinitas City Council in 2014, and became the City of Encinitas’ second directly elected mayor in 2016. She serves on a number of outside boards, including those of regional water and waste water districts.
