Description:

The Assistant Tribal Climate Resilience Liaison (Asst. TCRL) for the Alaska Climate Adaptation Science Center (AK CASC) serves as support on Alaska Tribal climate adaptation science needs under the guidance and direction of the Senior Tribal Climate Resilience Liaison (Sr. TCRL) of the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society (NAFWS).

The Asst. TCRL is responsible for working with the Sr. TCRL to provide technical assistance and to work with tribal communities across Alaska to improve their capacity to prepare for and respond to climate-related environmental impacts. 

Duties include but are not limited to outreach and extension programming on tribal climate impacts, concerns and adaptation strategies; support efforts to enhance information exchange; assist communities to identify and prioritize resilience and adaptation projects; and work with another Asst. TCRL and a seasonal Alaska Native Student Intern.
