The position is located within the Resource Management and Assistance Division, Sustainability and Environmental Assistance Section at the MPCA. Responsibilities include developing, coordinating and leading implementation of climate change adaptation, resilience, and sustainability plans and programs in Minnesota state government. Work includes responsibility for coordinating planning efforts among various agency programs and for relating and integrating planning programs carried on in the state in the area of climate adaptation and working with local governments in promoting sustainable, community-based solutions to environmental problems. The position will be conducting technical and policy research, writing grant applications and administering grants, coordinating training events, as assigned, and maintaining communications with other state and federal agencies and departments, and affected local governments and other affected parties, to promote climate change adaptation activities in Minnesota.A driver's license is an essential function of this position. This requires possession of an unrestricted Class D Driver's License. The job offer is contingent on confirmation of a valid driver's license AND a satisfactory DLR check.
