Climate Change & Resilience Team Leader

CARE International in the UK is one of the most vibrant members and is known for its expertise in climate change, resilience, emergency shelter and gender in emergencies.We are currently recruiting a team leader for our climate change and resilience team. The post-holder will be tasked with growing the team and in collaboration with colleagues across the CARE International Confederation define the direction of CIUKs work in this critical area of operations and policy engagement.Key responsibilities for the post-holder include:
• Lead the strategic development and implementation of CIUK’s climate change work, in coherence with the global Programme Strategy and other relevant CARE sector strategies (eg Climate Change).• Lead CIUK’s contributions to CARE’s policy formulation and advocacy positions on climate change, ensuring these are coherent with CI processes, reflect CI’s evidence and deliberately investigative of gender-based inequities and injustice• Supporting country offices with the development of new climate change and resilience projects and overseeing the technical advisory input;• Position CARE as a go to agency on Climate Change and Resilience Programming in order to influence policy makers and strengthen CAREs ability to secure fundingFor a full job description please refer to the link at the bottom of this page.
