Coastal Resilience Project Manager, the Nature Conservancy

The MD/DC Chapter Resilient Coasts Program is empowering Maryland’s coastal communities and habitats with the tools they need to adapt to sea level rise. The Coastal Resilience Project Manager will bring their social science and community engagement expertise to bear in working with communities, landowners and local governments. In close collaboration with these partners, they will develop and implement equitable, coastal nature-based projects in priority landscapes (including Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore). A successful candidate will have experience in: community engagement; diversity, equity and inclusion-focused stakeholder engagement approaches; relationship building and management; budget, contract and project management; science communication and outreach to the public, strategic planning; and engaging with local governments and decision-makers. This is a full time position that will report to the Resilient Coasts Program Director for The Nature Conservancy’s Maryland/DC Chapter, and work as part of a team of the Resilient Coasts team of scientists, policy experts, marketing and development professionals to successfully implement this work.
