The ECCF Podcast
The Early Career Climate Forum (ECCF) Editorial Board is pleased to announce the launch of the ECCF Podcast (hosted by Dr. Toni Klemm). Our goal is to discusses current climate research and science communication, and give professional development advice for graduate students and young professionals. We want to share climate-related research with a broader audience to enable students and professionals to connect with peers in their field or adjacent fields and get inspired to think about new career angles. Our career-related content is intended to help students and professionals hear from other professionals about their career paths, to encourage people in making personal and perhaps bold career moves and think outside the box when planning their career.
In the inaugural episode, Toni interviews Dr. Kristen Weiss to discussing her career path from science to science communication, the challenges of climate change from a communications perspective, and how to get started in science communication.
The second episode features Dr. Sarah McAnulty, the executive director of Skype A Scientist, talking about the benefits of connecting scientists with classrooms, how the idea was born, and how researchers can participate.
