Economic Growth, Environment and Agriculture Climate Change Advisor USAID - CAMRIS
The Climate Change Advisor will work closely with the Senior Climate Change Advisor and serve as a member of the Climate Change Team of the Economic Growth, Environment, and Agriculture (EGEA) Division within the Bureau of Africa’s Office of Sustainable Development. Among its technical implementation responsibilities, AFR/SD is tasked with providing technical support and leadership to USAID/Africa missions and USAID/Washington on natural resource management issues, especially global climate change, and ensuring that the Africa Bureau complies with the Agency’s environmental regulations. EGEA works to achieve these objectives in collaboration with a wide range of partners across Washington and in the field, in other USAID bureaus, and in other U.S. Government agencies.
USAID's Bureau for Africa requires a qualified and experienced Climate Change Advisor to support assistance programs in sub-Saharan Africa. Employment is contingent upon being able to obtain security clearance.
This position is based in Washington D.C but may require travel. Applicants should be able/willing to travel to sub-Saharan destinations.
