Executive Director - Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods
Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods (Stewards) welcomes applicants for Executive Director (ED), as our longtime ED, Michele Luna, has announced her retirement effective at the end of calendar year 2021.
Stewards’ Executive Director is responsible for advancing Steward’s vision, mission, and goals and for upholding the beliefs and values that form our organizational culture. Our ED administers the organization’s annual operating budget of approximately $650,000, oversees the work of 7-10 full and part-time staff and 250 volunteers, and reports to a 10-member board of directors.
Stewards is seeking an Executive Director who will lead the Stewards team, share a passion for environmental education, and create a vision of the future that preserves our natural and cultural resources and ensures equitable access for all park users.

- Organizational leadership, strategy, and management
- Relationship building and partnership development
- Financial management and fundraising
- Public communications and outreach
