Postdoctoral Associate in Ecology - CIRES, NC CASC
The North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center (NC CASC; https://nccasc.colorado.edu/) within CIRES at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scientist in Ecology to perform research activities on the topic of Ecological Impacts and Transformation under Climate Change in the 21st Century. The Postdoc will work in a highly interdisciplinary environment with a team of NC CASC and US Geological Survey ecologists, climate and social scientists, and adaptation specialists and their partner agencies. The postdoc will be actively involved in and lead several aspects of the project titled “Developing ecological scenarios for RAD decision-making” that aims to develop an approach for crafting ecological scenarios under future climate and test, refine, and demonstrate the utility and feasibility of the ecological scenarios approach. We are looking for a candidate with strong research interests and capabilities in understanding ecological impacts under climate change. The candidate is expected to have strong understanding and skills associated with ecological response models, in particular, correlative or mechanistic models for ecological impact assessment. The candidate is also expected to have a strong interest in conducting science synthesis, working in a highly collaborative setting, and translating and communicating science to the resource management community.
