The NCSU State Climate Office, Carolinas Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessment NOAA (RISA) program, and the Carolinas Collaborative on Climate, Health, and Equity, is recruiting a postdoctoral research scholar with expertise in environmental or climate justice. This work will advance research on climate, health, and equity in Carolina communities. Our integrated physical and social science research will be tailored to the needs and priorities of the participating communities, and the solutions we develop will be co-designed to tackle both the societal drivers of risk and the changing climate hazard landscape. This work will involve community-based research that supports local community action and advances policies that address climate injustice. The study team is composed of interdisciplinary experts working at the intersection of climate, health, and equity across the Carolinas.
