Programme Analyst, UNDP
UNDP seeks to engage the services of a Programme Analyst who will provide financial expertise and oversight, as well as substantive thematic support to the Global Support Unit of UNDP’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Support Programme. The chosen candidate will be expected to collect, track and analyse programme data (financial, operational and contractual) to help advise programme management while simultaneously developing and implementing operational systems that ensure exemplary programme oversight and provide for the potential of rapid programme growth.
The successful candidate will be part of one of UNDP’s flagship climate change programmes - a technical team focusing on inclusive governance, climate finance and private sector engagement. The Programme Analyst will be a key member of the programme management team to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations of a multi-faceted, multi-donor global programme.
This position requires excellent financial management skills, direct experience with multi-donor global programmes and exposure and understanding of the Paris Agreement, Nationally Determined Contributions and general climate change themes.
The objective of the position is to (a) provide financial oversight and analysis (b) ensure adherence to contractual obligations, (c) develop and implement operational systems that allow for rapid growth of UNDP’s support to NDC implementation, and (d) substantive contributions for the measurable success of the UNDP NDC Support Programme.
