The Habitat SIL anticipates awarding up to $9,000,000 for proposals ranging from $200,000 to $800,000, for work lasting 2 to 4 years.

Funding from the Habitat Strategic Initiative Lead is focused on investing in habitat recovery work that implements the Floodplains and Estuaries,  Land Development and CoverMarine Vegetation, and Shoreline Armoring Implementation Strategies. These regional Implementation Strategies are designed to help reduce stressors to Puget Sound habitats and achieve ecosystem-focused, desired outcomes from the 2022-2026 Action Agenda for Puget Sound. Investment priorities are also intended to advance habitat recovery through approaches that integrate climate resilience and adaptation, environment justice, and tribal treaty rights.
