Sustainability Program Analyst - DC Dept. of Energy & Environment
The mission of the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is to protect and restore the environment, conserve natural resources, and improve the quality of life in the District of Columbia. As the nation's capital city, the District will become a model of environmental protection and sustainable environmental practices. In partnership with other District agencies, the federal government, business groups, non-profit organizations, and residents, the department will help instill environmental awareness through innovation and best practices.
This position will serve as Program Analyst in the Sustainability & Equity Branch, within the Urban Sustainability Administration, for the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE). The incumbent will work on DOEE’s workload related to implementing the District’s sustainability plan, Sustainable DC, including coordinating the annual plan progress report, overseeing two sector-based sustainability pledge programs, managing initiative communications (email, website, social media, newsletter), coordinating with internal and external partnerships, and planning community engagement opportunities.
