CAKE TeamOverview
The Adaptation at Altitude programme, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), seeks to support mountain communities and those working with them by improving the knowledge of appropriate climate change adaptation strategies in the mountains, and transferring that knowledge through science–policy platforms to inform decision-making in national, regional and global policy processes.
One way they are doing this is through the development of a database of tried, tested, and replicable climate change adaptation solutions for mountainous regions.
The Adaptation at Altitude Solutions Portal (A@A-SP) allows you to explore climate change adaptation solutions for mountain regions, see where they have been implemented, and by who. Use filters and search options to explore the solutions, or find solutions in your area of interest using the map (coming soon!).
This database contains short and detailed ‘solutions’. Detailed solutions provide in-depth information, including on main and co-beneficiaries, outcomes, planning and implementation, finance, innovation, evaluation, sustainability, capacities for design and implementation, barriers, and scalability. All solutions include useful documents and links for further information.
Solutions will continue to be added over time, while the functionality will continue to be improved. Users can contribute their own work or suggest a future improvement.
