Overview

Coastal Resilience is a program led by The Nature Conservancy to examine nature’s role in reducing coastal flood risk. The program consists of an approach, a web mapping tool, and a network of practitioners around the world supporting hazard mitigation and climate adaptation planning.

The Coastal Resilience decision-support tool provides communities access to the best available science and local data on coastal hazards to visualize their risks and examine where nature can increase resilience and reduce risk through conservation and restoration activities. This tool is intended to address a specific coastal or marine ecosystem service to inform conservation, mitigation, and/or adaptation planning.
