Overview

The Coastal Resilience Resource Library offers guides and resources for supporting coastal hazards resilience efforts in Washington State.

This tool is intended to orient coastal hazards practitioners and stakeholders to the most relevant resources, tools, and guides available for engaging in coastal hazards resilience planning and management efforts in Washington State.

Many of the resources have been developed by local agencies and organizations. Some resources were developed by other state or federal agencies but nonetheless provide information that is highly relevant to the Washington State coastal hazards context.

Users can browse through all entries or filter and sort resources by various topics, including:

  • Erosion, flooding, sea level rise, tsunami & earthquake, resilience & adaptation, nature-based solutions, restoration, outreach & engagement, grant funding, case studies, data visualization, and equity & environmental justice.

Managing Organizations

Established in 1968, Washington Sea Grant (WSG) began as a federal experiment in local investment, building on the University of Washington’s academic strengths in marine science, engineering and policy. In 1971, it became one of the first four programs designated nationally as a Sea Grant College. Today, WSG is part of a national network of 30 Sea Grant colleges administered by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce.
