Gwen Griffith is Program Director with the Model Forest Policy Program, a nonprofit organization that facilitates risk assessment, planning, and implementation of resilience strategies primarily with rural communities. MFPP has facilitated climate resilience with over 40 communities and tribes nationwide from Alaska to North Carolina. Gwen coordinates a team of experts to deliver virtual training, technical assistance, and support for planning and implementation tailored to the needs of rural and small town settings. The team includes expertise in adaptation for watersheds, forests, agriculture, public health, infrastructure, green building, socioeconomics, and ecosystem services. The team also supports integration and mainstreaming of resilience into plan updates, including comprehensive plans, hazard mitigation plans, watershed plans and more.
